On today’s PopSnap show I go on a search for the missing iPhones. The story has been going around. While most people attribute the missing iPhones to those that are jail broken one of several ways they could be missing includes being stuffed away in collectors closets.
Here are the story links about the iPhones MIA:
The case of the 1.4 million missing iPhones
Cnet was all over the story coverage
People think iPhones cost too much money
Search ebay for vintage computers!
First of all, I like the new look of your blog…very classic.
As for the iPhone I think its a mix of collectors (which really is maybe a few thousand), iPhones hacked (which I think is the majority of the missing iPhones) and even maybe a few here or there bought by companies laying around in corporate warehouses…I think Steve Jobs might have a few thousand in case one gets dirty.

I think there are alot more jailbroken iPhones than anyone imagines. I doubt anyone is hoarding iPhones in their mother’s basement.
@sarah: You mentioned something about ABC?

There are about 25% hacked according to Piper and Jaffrey research.
I didn’t think about collecting the first version of the iPhone, but it would make a good collectors item in the future. Thanks for another great video.

Wouldn’t this be a tax deduction for Apple if the phones we counted as a loss?

I agree with Piper research because the iphones were mostly hacked. It must account for more than 20 percent. That’s beautiful and amazing. I love it and want to hack mine.
Sadly I fall into the percentage on the graph of people with At&t, but maybe not for long… What do you think?
side note @Boring Market, I like the white blog better than the black one, but I need to do some design on the header. It’s looking too homemade and that’s bad, but other than the way my blog looks, iphones are missing!

@Sarah: I think your blog follows your PopSnap Shows with a raw and a personal touch. You seem to shy away from a commercial quality in almost everything you do, include your blog. Don’t worry if something looks ‘homemade’ or not, its more about what represents you and what you like.

iPhones are a major failure, much like Vista.
US companies cheat – they put out garbage and think tht stock holders and consumers will buy their garbage just because they put lipstick on it.
I know you like your iPhone but by putting it on the slower speed AT&T network, they sabataged it. Repeat — it is doomed. More new phones will make the iPhone — and Apple’s incompetent management — a part of Silicon Valley history.

I find that buying an Iphone is a very easy because there are no upgrades or different types. One Iphone and you get everything. You plans may vary depending on your needs. When you buy an Iphone you don’t have to get the Internet athought you should. It needed for all the bells ans whistles. The good thing is that the web fees are only 19.95 per month, this is half the cost or less than any other provider YES!!! I find this site has the best plans and phones available.
